2010 Pinot Noir - Russian River Valley
Bohemian Vineyard
Stunning ruby red semi-transparent color. An unforgettable nose redolent of red fruit, allspice and herbs. Palate highlights wild cherry and tangy cranberries embellished by cola, plum, and touches of fresh herbs and toasty vanilla. Overarching silky mouthfeel spreads pliable tannins from start to (darker fruit and cola) finish. A well balanced wine possessing food-friendly acidity. Classic depth and complexity you've come to expect from our flagship wine. Critical Acclaim: "The wine has a unique flavor that distinguishes it from mainstream Pinot Noirs. The tannins are supple and the whole package is well composed. Still solid two days later from a previously opened and re-corked bottle indicating age ability. Very good." (Rusty Gaffney, PinotFile, February 22, 2012) "What a wonderful, regal wine. I'm looking forward to sharing this one with my readers." (Brian Freedman, noted wine and food writer, March 6, 2012) "Silky mouthfeel spreads tannins from start to finish. Nice depth and complexity. Well balanced." (Winematch.com, January 19, 2012) Vinter Note: This wine is only labeled as a vineyard designate wine in selected vintages (just 3 out of the last 10 years) when we believe the growing conditions are particularly favorable and express the unique attributes of Bohemian Vineyard.
